CIDCA chairman meets with Uzbekistan’s ambassador to China

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Farhod Arziev, Uzbekistan's ambassador to China, in Beijing on Dec 27. 

Luo said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the China-Uzbekistan all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era has maintained high-quality development, yielding fruitful results through pragmatic cooperation in various fields. The CIDCA is ready to jointly implement the important consensus reached between the two heads of state, continue to deepen bilateral development cooperation, advance Belt and Road cooperation with high quality, and implement the Global Development Initiative, in a bid to make new contributions to the development of bilateral relations and the building of the China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future, he added. 

Arziev said that the Uzbekistan-China relations have opened a new chapter under the personal attention of the two heads of state, with deepened cooperation in various fields. Uzbekistan appreciates China’s long-term support to the economic and social development and the improvement of people’s livelihoods in the country, he said, giving special praise to the CIDCA and its chairman for their outstanding work. He pledged to continue to work closely with the CIDCA, jointly implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state, and strive to enhance quality and efficiency of the bilateral development assistance and cooperation.

The pair also had in-depth discussions on cooperation matters for the coming year. Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Li Ming, and deputy directors-general of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Du Wei and Cui Jingwen also attended the meeting.
