Noting that 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the GDSSCF, Zhao said the establishment and upgrade of the fund reflect China's steadfast commitment to international development cooperation. Up to now, China, along with more than 20 international organizations, has implemented over 160 projects in more than 60 countries, benefiting over 30 million people and injecting strong momentum into the implementation of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, he said.

The purpose of the briefing was to promote the utilization of the fund, to provide new pathways to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, to offer a new platform for aligning with development strategies of various countries, and to provide new impetus for expanding and upgrading partnerships, he added.

Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Li Ming and deputy head of the CIDCA's Global Development Promotion Center Lei Pili briefed the guests about the background, coverage, management structure and application process of the GDSSCF as well as the Global Development Project Pool and the Capital Pool.
