CIDCA chairman meets with Kyrgyz deputy PM

Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobayev in Beijing on Feb 6.

Luo welcomed Torobayev on his visit to the CIDCA and to China as a member of President Sadyr Japarov's entourage. The important consensus reached at the meeting between the two heads of state on Feb 5 served as strategic guidance for bilateral relations, he noted. The two countries have also signed multiple cooperation documents following the meeting, he said, adding that the CIDCA stands ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to earnestly implement the new consensus, continue to deepen bilateral development cooperation, promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, and make further contributions to the China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.

Torobayev thanked China for its long-term support for Kyrgyzstan's economic and social development and improvement in people's standards of living. He said that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to its relations with China, and pledged to work with the CIDCA to jointly implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state, continuously deepen cooperation with mutual benefits, and solidify and develop bilateral friendly relations.

The two sides also discussed specific cooperation projects. Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov, Vice-Chairman of the CIDCA Liu Junfeng, directors-general of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Shou Hailong and Department of International Cooperation Li Ming also attended the meeting.
