CIDCA vice-chairman meets with IFRC under-secretary general

Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Xavier Castellanos Mosquera, under-secretary general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 on March 27.  

Both parties agreed to continue exchanges and visits, enhance project cooperation, and support major events within the framework of the signed memorandum of understanding on cooperation. They will collectively address global changes and development challenges, work together to advance the global humanitarian cause, and jointly implement the Global Development Initiative and the IFRC Strategy 2030.

Following the meeting, they exchanged a cooperation agreement for the implementation of an assistance project for climate change adaptation in Mongolia under the Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund.

Head of the IFRC East Asia delegation Olga Dzhumaeva and Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Meng Ran also attended the meeting.
