CIDCA vice-chairman meets with head of ICRC East Asia delegation

Zhao Fengtao, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Balthasar Staehelin, head of Regional Delegation for East Asia at International Committee of the Red Cross, on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 on March 27.  

The pair held thorough discussions on signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation under the Global Development Initiative, with focus on carrying out humanitarian projects in war-torn and conflict-ridden areas in the Middle East and Africa and working together to address global humanitarian crises.

Deputy Director-General of the CIDCA's Department of International Cooperation Meng Ran also attended the meeting.
