On March 30, Chairman of Myanmar's State Administration Council Min Aung Hlaing visited the Ottara Thiri Private Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, to express his appreciation to members of the rescue and medical teams from China's Yunnan province.
He shook hands with the team members and thanked them for their timely assistance to Myanmar. He also inspected the ongoing rescue work. Vice-Chairman of Myanmar's State Administration Council Soe Win and Health Minister Thet Khaing Win also joined the visit.
On March 28, a 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck the country, causing severe damage and casualties.
