Luo Zhaohui, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh in Beijing on April 3.
Noting that China and Vietnam are neighboring countries which enjoy a longstanding friendship, Luo said China-Vietnam relations have developed steadily under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two parties and countries. The CIDCA attaches great importance to bilateral development cooperation and is ready to work with Vietnam to enhance cooperation in such areas as infrastructure connectivity, people's welfare and personnel training, he said. The collaboration will follow the guidance of the key consensus reached between the top leaders of both parties and countries, aiming to foster more fruitful outcomes, he added.
Binh acknowledged the building momentum in cooperation between the two countries, which he said has seen close high-level exchanges and yielded positive outcomes. Vietnam is ready to work with China to earnestly implement the consensus reached between the leaders of the two parties and countries, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields and contribute to the building of the Vietnam-China community with a shared future that bears strategic significance, he added.
The pair also discussed cross-border railway and human resources development cooperation.
Directors-general of the CIDCA's First Department of Regional Affairs Shou Hailong and Department of International Cooperation Li Ming also attended the meeting.
