Charge d’Affaires Bao Xuhui Visits Nangarhar and Kunar

On September 22nd, Charge d'Affaires Bao Xuhui visited Nangarhar and Kunar, met with H.E. Mohammad Naeem Akhund, Governor of Nangarhar, and H.E. Qudratullah Abu Hamza, Governor of Kunar respectively. Bao conveyed condolences from China's leadership regarding the earthquake, briefed emergency assistance provided by the Chinese government, and stated that the above condolences and assistance fully reflected the sincere friendship of the Chinese government and people towards the Afghan government and people. Bao believed that under the leadership of the Afghan government, the people in the affected areas will definitely overcome difficulties and rebuild from the disaster as soon as possible .Bao transferred cash assistance from the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps as well, and went to the Usmani Camp to distribute aid to the people in the affected area.

Akhund and Hamza introduced the earthquake, relief and reconstruction efforts, and stated that a friend in need is a friend indeed. China's condolences and assistance were of great spiritual support for Afghan people in the affected areas. China's assistance played an important role for assistance and reconstruction efforts by Afghan side, and reflected the deep friendship between Afghanistan and China, which Afghanistan appreciated a lot and would properly utilize this donation and dedicate them entirely to disaster relief and reconstruction.
