CIDCA chairman meets Namibia's minister of international relations and trade

Chen Xiaodong, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Trade Selma Ashipala-Musavyi on April 16.

Chen said that China-Namibia relations, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, have continued to advance, with growing political mutual trust and fruitful development cooperation outcomes.

He said that the CIDCA is ready to work with the Namibian side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, in a bid to deepen development cooperation and promote the steady and sustained progress of China-Namibia comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation.

For her part, Musavyi emphasized the true friendship between Namibia and China, saying that the relations between the two countries continued to deepen in recent years. China has long been providing support for Namibia's economic development and improvement of the livelihoods of its people, for which the Namibian side is thankful, she said.

She expressed Namibia's readiness to further cooperate with China across various fields and to deepen the friendly relations between the two nations.

Chen and Musavyi also exchanged views on specific development cooperation projects.
