
Chen Xiaodong, chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, met on April 22 with Mozambique's Finance Minister Carla Louveira, who was in China to attend the third High-Level Conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development.
Chen highlighted the deep and enduring friendship between China and Mozambique. He added that during Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo's visit to China in April, the two heads of state agreed to upgrade bilateral ties to a China-Mozambique community with a shared future in the new era.
Chen stressed that China is ready to work with Mozambique to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen political mutual trust, deepen development cooperation and build a community with a shared future for humanity.
Louveira highlighted the close, fraternal friendship between the two countries. She lauded China's long-term support for Mozambique's economic growth and improvement of people's well-being.
Moreover, the minister expressed Mozambique's commitment to supporting all the crucial initiatives proposed by China and her country's hope to strengthen cooperation with China in such areas as people's well-being and the digital economy.
The two sides also exchanged their views on specific development cooperation projects.
